I’ll be honest with you…
There are days I don’t feel like moving.
Days when my body’s creaky, my energy’s low, and that little voice says,
“Just skip it today. You’ve earned a rest.”
Sound familiar?
But here’s what I’ve learned in my 70+ years walking this earth:
Consistency beats motivation.... Every single time.
One morning not too long ago, I woke up stiff and sore.
Didn’t sleep great. Didn’t feel great.
My easy chair was calling louder than the mat.
But I showed up anyway.
I breathed. I moved gently. I did what I could.
And by the end?
I felt like a different man.
Not because I crushed a workout.
But because I kept a promise to myself.
That’s where the real strength lives.
It’s not in the big flashy efforts.
It’s in the little choices, especially when you don’t feel like it.
Because every time you show up, you’re building trust with yourself.
You’re telling your body, “I’ve got you.”
And your body responds.
Let’s take action:
Next time you don’t “feel like it,” do five minutes.
Stretch. Walk. Breathe.
Just show up.
You don’t need to do it all, you just need to begin.
And here’s the magic:
Once you begin, momentum takes over.
Because the truth is...
You don’t have to feel ready.
You just have to be willing.
