He loved to move.
Baseball, golf, long walks on the beach and all over the town and countryside. Half marathons? Sure, why not. He figured as long as he kept going, he was doing something right.
Except… he wasn’t.
His form was off. His body was breaking down, one joint at a time. He ignored the warning signs. Pushed through pain like a badge of honor. That’s what you do, right? Just keep moving.
But by 53, it caught up with him.
Stiffness. Chronic pain. Injuries stacking up like unpaid bills. Surgeries loomed. Doctors offered meds and procedures. “This is just what aging looks like,” they said.
He almost believed them.
But deep down, he wasn’t ready to give up. Not yet. So he searched. Dug. Questioned everything he thought he knew about movement and healing.
What he found changed everything.
Not harder workouts. Not the latest gadget or diet trend.
But breath. Stillness. Contracted Stretching.
Mindful movement done with care.
And the courage to slow down… so he could speed up again.
Fast forward to today… and that man?
He’s 71. No surgeries. No meds. Hiking with a spring in his step. Helping others do what he once thought was impossible.
You’ve probably heard of him.
His name… is Dave Stevens.
And now you know… the rest of the story.
