Tap Your Way Out of Stress (Yes, Really)
Tapping on your own face to reduce stress.
Sounds ridiculous, I know.
But it works.
I’m talking about EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique.
Tapping specific points on your face and body while naming what’s actually bothering you.
No crystals. No affirmations. Just tapping and truth.
The science backs it up.
Studies show tapping can lower cortisol, calm your nervous system, and shift you out of a stress response faster than most other techniques.
Why?
Because feelings aren’t just thoughts you can out-think.
They’re signals in your body that need somewhere to go.
When I’m dealing with stress or tension, I use tapping.
Takes two minutes.
Feels awkward at first.
Works anyway.
Here’s how simple tapping is:
Pick one thing bothering you right now.
Rate how much it bugs you, 1 to 10.
Start tapping the side of your hand (karate chop point) while saying out loud: “Even though I feel [whatever it is], I’m okay.”
Then move through these points, tapping each about 7-10 times: top of your head, inner eyebrow, outer eye, under your eye, under your nose, chin, collarbone, under your arm.
While you tap, just say what’s true. “I’m stressed.” “I’m angry.” “I’m exhausted.” Whatever’s real.
Take a breath.
Rate how you feel again.
That’s it.
Your shoulders might drop.
Your jaw might unclench.
Your mind might get quieter.
It’s not magic.
It’s just giving your body a way to process what you’ve been pushing down.
We teach simple, practical techniques like this - no flowery language, no BS. Just what works.
