Stop Feeling Guilty For Being Human
Society has conditioned us to feel guilty about the most basic things.
Food. Rest. Exercise. Productivity. Our bodies.
None of it makes sense.
You’re not committing a crime by eating food you enjoy. You’re not failing by needing rest. You’re not lazy if you moved your body differently than someone else thinks you should.
And your to-do list? It doesn’t define your worth.
Guilt should not be associated with your humanity.
You need to eat. You need to rest. You need to move in ways that feel good to your body, not punishing.
Some days you accomplish a lot. Some days you accomplish less. Both are fine.
Your body looks the way it looks. It’s carried you this far. It deserves respect, not shame.
We’ve been sold the idea that we have to earn our food, our rest, our existence.
That’s a lie designed to keep you feeling inadequate so you’ll keep buying solutions to problems you don’t actually have.
You’re allowed to eat without guilt. Rest without apology. Move in ways that feel good. Have unproductive days. Exist in your body exactly as it is.
That’s not permission to stop caring. It’s permission to stop punishing yourself for being alive.
What’s one thing you’ve been feeling guilty about that you’re ready to let go? Eating certain foods? Taking rest days? Not checking everything off your list?
Tell me. Let’s normalize being human without the guilt.
