Not All Workouts Are Created Equal… and That’s a Good Thing
Why higher-intensity training might be your jam and why it’s okay if it’s not
Some light up at the thought of a high-energy sweat session.
They’re first in line for HIIT classes, they thrive in a Pilates studio (with or without that fancy reformer), and they get a twinkle in their eye when lacing up for a long-distance run.
Others? Not so much. And here’s the truth… you can be fit, strong, and downright radiant without doing a single sprint or holding a plank for five minutes.
But if you’re wired for the push, the pulse, and the challenge? If a little “huff and puff” leaves you grinning from ear to ear? Then by all means—lean into it. Those higher-intensity workouts can boost your cardio health, improve endurance, strengthen your muscles, and light a fire under your mood.
Just remember, the magic isn’t in what you do,it’s in the fact that you’re doing something.
Whether it’s a gentle stretch, a brisk walk, or a sweat-dripping HIIT circuit, the real win is getting up off the couch and moving.
So, if you’re a go-big-or-go-home type, go big. If you’re more of a slow-and-steady person, go steady. Movement is movement, and at RiversZen, we cheer for every single step, rep, and stretch.
Today: Pick your pace. Go high, go low, go somewhere in between… but go.
