It's Upside Down
Something is deeply wrong with how we live.
Get offered a drink at a party and say no thanks. See what happens. Half the room thinks you’re weird. The other half wonders what’s wrong with you.
Eat a steak and some eggs instead of a bag of chips and a soda. Suddenly you’re “on a diet.” People feel sorry for you.
Show up at 65 with no prescription bottles. The doctor looks confused. That’s not the normal anymore.
We’ve got it completely backwards.
Normal is tired, overweight, medicated, and told to manage symptoms for the rest of your life. Normal is a trillion-dollar industry that needs you sick to stay profitable.
Here’s a simple rule that changed everything for me.
Do the opposite of what most people do.
Most people drink. Don’t.
Most people eat garbage. Don’t.
Most people accept a handful of pills as healthcare. Don’t.
At 55, I was diabetic, overweight, and headed down the same road as everyone else. I got off that road. Seventeen years later I haven’t looked back.
Normal wasn’t working. So I quit doing it.
Here’s the question worth sitting with: If normal leads to sick, tired, and dependent... why are you still trying to fit in?
