I Choose to Be Home... And I’m Not Apologizing
Move Well, Stay Healthy, Be Happy
People think staying home means you’re getting old. Giving up. Becoming boring.
They’re wrong.
I spent decades chasing. Events. Activities. Saying yes to things I didn’t even want to do because I thought I was supposed to.
Now at 72 years old, I choose differently.
I choose my quiet home over loud restaurants. My comfortable clothes over going out to prove something. My own space over activities that drain me.
This isn’t withdrawal. It’s wisdom.
I’m not missing out. I’m protecting my energy for what actually matters.
Your body can’t heal if you’re constantly running on fumes trying to stay “relevant.” Rest isn’t weakness. It’s how you stay strong enough to show up for the real stuff.
Younger me thought happiness was out there somewhere. Older me knows it’s right here.
In my home. In my peace. In the choice to stop chasing empty motion.
Society wants you busy and distracted. I want you rested and powerful.
Are you choosing what actually fills you up, or what you think you’re supposed to do?
Until I talk to you again, move well, stay healthy and be happy. Have an amazing day!
