You back out of a parking spot and suddenly realize you can’t see behind you quite as well as you used to.
Or somebody says something behind you and instead of turning your head, you turn your whole damn body.
When did that happen?
Sometimes you know.
You slept funny. You spent six hours staring at a computer. You did something yesterday that your neck apparently objected to.
Sometimes you have no idea.
And sometimes it has been sneaking up on you for years.
Someone comes to Peggy or me and says, “I can’t turn my head to the right.”
Okay.
Show me.
That’s usually where we start.
