Unplug to Recharge: You are Stronger Than the Noise…
You’ve got the power to unplug, reset, and reclaim the joy of being fully present.
Social media. News feeds. Constant noise.
It’s like trying to take a peaceful walk while someone follows you around shouting nonsense through a megaphone. Not helpful. Not healthy.
Most of what’s swirling around out there is designed to push your buttons. To distract you. To divide you. To keep you feeling helpless and hopeless so you’ll keep scrolling, keep consuming, keep doubting.
But you know better. You’re not powerless. And you’re definitely not broken.
The truth? If you can’t control it, let it go. Stop wringing your hands over things that are outside your reach.
That energy? It’s precious. Use it to move your body, to breathe deeply, to smile at a stranger, to laugh at your own ridiculous thoughts.
“But what if the world is falling apart?” someone might say.
Well, maybe it is. Maybe it isn’t.
But your world… your body, your mind, your heart… that’s your domain. That’s where real change starts.
You don’t need a perfect plan. Just a little courage to tune out the fear and tune into yourself.
Turn off the noise. Step outside. Let the sun warm your skin. Walk slowly. Breathe fully. Remind yourself how good it feels to just be alive.
You’re not meant to be constantly plugged in. You’re meant to live, to move, to love, to enjoy every single moment.
Take just five minutes. No phone. No TV. Just you and the world around you. Walk barefoot in the grass. Feel the air in your lungs. Smile.
That’s freedom.
Unexpected consequences indeed.
The funny thing is I just told Kim that Saturday I was busy all day and never even looked at my computer or tablet. When I used my phone it was just to talk on the phone. No scrolling. I did this unintentionally. Ended the day around a campfire with friends. Then today I got on the computer to sign into her class and Whoa - pages of unread emails. I keep unsubscribing from things but the emails keep coming. I've been deleting or answering emails for almost an hour now. Anyway I had to laugh when I read this. Yes - its great to unplug for a day, but later you might pay the price....... LOL
