Do you ever feel like the health world is full of smoke and mirrors?
One day, something is “good for you.”
The next day, it’s the enemy of humanity.
That’s why I call myself a curious skeptic.
I don’t trust studies just because they say, “Research proves this.”
Doctors? They’re human. And they’re often stuck in outdated ideas or influenced by big pharma.
Big food? Don’t get me started. They’ll slap a “healthy” label on a candy bar if they think it’ll sell.
So, what do I do?
I test things myself.
Take my no-shampoo experiment, for example. I ditched soap and shampoo for my hair and let nature take over.
Guess what? It worked! My hair is healthier and happier without all those chemicals and my scalp no longer itches.
Then there was the cold shower challenge.
I tried it for six months. Every morning. Ice-cold water.
People swore it would change my life.
It did change something. I dreaded my mornings!
That experiment got tossed out.
But here’s the point.
You don’t have to believe every new health fad or piece of “expert” advice.
You can try things. See what works for you.
Because your body is smarter than any study.
Be a curious skeptic. Ask questions. Challenge the norm.
And if something works? Stick with it. If it doesn’t? Toss it out without guilt.
Actionable tip for today: Think about one thing you’ve always wondered about. Maybe it’s trying intermittent fasting, giving up dairy, or ditching your fancy shampoo.
Test it for a week or two (give no shampoo a month).
Then decide if it’s a keeper or not.
Because the only wisdom that really matters is the one that makes you feel amazing.
